Penn State Altoona Athletics announced on Friday the hiring of Kenneth Michaud to be the next head coach of its NCAA Division III men's tennis program.
Michaud most recently served as an assistant coach at NAIA Oakland City University. Before that, his coaching stops included stints at Iowa Central Community College and Division III Juniata College.
"I am excited to join the Penn State Altoona family and become part of an outstanding team," Michaud stated.
Foursome triumph
CRESSON -- The team of Chris Sodmont, Tanner Fogel, Michael Cusino and George Kissel shot a 57 to win the ARM/CAMCO Invitational held at the Summit Country Club.
Finishing second was the team of Rick Weaver, Don Pearce, Case Fields and Larry Thomas at 61.
Hole-in-ones
n Scott McCommons made a hole-in-one at Iron Masters Country Club. He hit the shot on No. 3, 165-yards long using a 5-wood. It was witnessed by Gary Johnson.
n Rob Roberts made a hole-in-one at the Sinking Valley Country Club. He hit the shot on No. 2 from the gold tees using a 3-Hybrid. It was witnessed by Jim Weston and Jay Burlingame.
