Helsley takes home Sinking Valley golf championship

Helsley

TYRONE -- Nick Helsley won his first Sinking Valley Country Club championship with the help of two rounds of 68 in the final two of his four rounds in the Blue Tee Club Championships this past Saturday and Sunday.

The first two rounds were played Aug. 8-9.

Helsley finished with a four-round score of 282 to edge Artie Fink Jr., who shot 285.

Tyler Steiner was third with a 291.

Joe Petta topped Greg Ferguson by three strokes with a 311 in the Blue Tee Flight 2, and Tony Hunter's four-day total of 339 won the Blue Tee Flight 3.

Cassidy Miksich, who won the women's club championship on Aug. 8-9, won the White Tee title with a two-day total of 161.

Anthony Minnoia was second with a 168, and Mike Ieraci was third with a 169.

Dan Casillo won the White Tee Flight 2 with a 170, and Mav Fleck won the White Tee Flight 3 after carding a 176.

Park Hills

Doug Knisely and David Snyder combined to win the first flight gross with a 62 in the 2026 Park Hills Golf Club Member-Guest Tournament.

Rick Webb and Dave Satka finished second with a 70.

Kevin Gnegy and Bill Good won the first flight net with a 53, and Mike Madden and Doug Ulery were second with a 55.

Summit Country Club

CRESSON -- Dave States and Rick Perrone shot a 64 to win the Summit Country Club's Member Appreciation Day Two-Man Scramble by one stroke over Zack Martynuska and Ryen Myers.

Dorothy Cavalet, Morghan Krug and Dawn Repko won a women's scramble with a score of 70.

In other action at the course, Bob McMullen, Ed Warshel, James Smith and Bill Kidd won the Camp Sequanota Charity Golf Outing scramble with a score of 63.

Liz and Bruce Horner, Jeff Herman and Terry Hunter won a card-off for second after shooting 67, and Randy Ferry, Rick Barron, Dan Halverson and Don Deaner were third.

Nick Feliciani, Ferry, Jim Montgomery and Liz Horner won skill prizes.
