WILKES-BARRE -- The West Suburban 14U team captured the 2026 Little League Juniors East Regional Softball Tournament title on Monday.

West Suburban won two games Monday -- after officials changed the schedule in order to finish the tournament due to rain in the forecast -- to wrap up a dominating 4-0 tourney performance (outscoring its opponents 63-4) and punch its ticket to the Junior League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Wash., from Aug. 2-8.

West Suburban defeated New Jersey Ridgewood, 15-0, in four innings in the first game, and then, after Ridgewood eliminated Delaware Camden Wyoming, 5-4, West Suburban won the title with a 12-0 six-inning victory over Ridgewood in the championship game.

In the final, West Suburban's Olivia O'Roark gave up one hit and struck out 10 in five innings of work before Kylie Ferguson tossed a scoreless sixth inning.

On offense, Jerzy Bopp went 3-for-3 to lead a 14-hit attack and also scored three runs. Ferguson, Kylie Sweeney and Bryn Roberts each collected two hits, and O'Roark smacked a home run.

Earlier, West Suburban pounded out 19 hits in four innings in blowing past Ridgewood.

O'Roark went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs, Sweeney went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Irelyn Scott had two hits and two RBIs, Roberts drove in two runs, and Adalyn Hines smacked a home run.

Scott and Camdyn Westover combined on a three-hitter.

West Suburban, managed by Rick Roberts, has two players -- Hines and Reagan Bills -- who played on last year's West Suburban 12U team that won the World Series. Most of the players are from the Johnstown area, but five are from the Mirror coverage area -- Bills (Cambria Heights), Westover and Reese Pinizzotto (Portage), and Ferguson and Abigail Claar (Central Cambria).
