CRESSON -- The team of Kim Johnson, Lauren Graham, Brenda Sekerak and Jan Kelleher shot a 35 to win first place in the first week of the second half of the Ladies League season at Summit Country Club.
It was a scramble format.
Kelli Plunkett, Margo Hoover, Kelly Mignogna and Mindy McMahon tied Dorothy Cavalet, Jean Dunmyer and Susan Wilson for second place with a score of 36.
Plunkett and Johnson won closest-to-the-pin prizes.
In other action at the Summit, Doug and Brian Hmel teamed with Matt and Jon Zernick to shoot a 53 and win first place in a four-player scramble to benefit the Saint Francis football team.
John Bianconi, Tom Fleming and Steve Foreman won closest-to-the-pin prizes.
Sylvan Hills
HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Nick Matteson shot an even-par score of 35, and E.J. Madey had a net 33 to win Monday's league competition at Sylvan Hills Golf Course.
Roger Elensky was the sole winner of individual holes, and Matteson won closest-to-the-pin on No. 4.
Ken Cameron and Gerry Rubritz are the league leaders.
