HOLLIDAYSBURG — Dayonne Beck, Yvonne Gentry and Maddie Shea shot an 18 to win first place in the Sylvan Hills Ladies Golf Association’s Water Holes competition.

Connie Angeski, Marsha Hunter, Molly Goldstein and Kim Straesser finished second with a 19.

In the Sylvan Hills Butch Focht Senior Men’s League, Jim Burke, Herb Bolger, Andy Cameron and Don Stubbs won a three-team card-off to win this week’s tournament with a 34.

Tom Shea, Joe DeGennaro, David Johns and Joe Maus were second in the card-off, and Randy Drenning, George Mitchell, Robin Weaver and Lynn Grove were third.

Hole-in-one

TYRONE — Chancey Dell scored a hole-in-one on No. 16, using the gold tees, at Sinking Valley Country Club on Thursday. He used a 7-iron, and it was witnessed by Jeff DeCriscio, Bill Berkheimer and Frank Dicken.
