Park Hills crowns Lady Invitational golf winners

The Park Hills Country Club recently hosted its Ladies Invitational where a gross division and net division titles were won.

In the first flight gross division, Cindy Trimarco and Stephanie Kirsch claimed the trophy with a 3-over-par 73. Cathy Beam and Alysha Kuchar captured the second flight with a 9-over-par 79.

The net champions were Sue Leberfinger and Danene Litz, who won the first flight with a 9-under-par 61. Bonnie Deem and Marsha Hunter matched that score for the second flight title.

The tournament featured two flights with players competing for both gross and net titles. The first flight played a combination of best ball and scramble formats, while the second flight competed in an 18-hole scramble.

Summit

CRESSON -- Quintin Dziabo won the 2026 Match Play Championship at the Summit Country Club, topping runner-up Brian Giesler in the Championship Flight finals.

Braedon O'Donnell topped Rick Holtz in the first flight, and John Dziabo beat Jim Smith in the second-flight final.

Luke Michina won the third flight over Joe Dziabo, Mason McCarthy topped Frank Szczechowicz in the fourth flight, and Rick Perrone bested Greg Simpson in the fifth flight.

Kelli Plunkett topped Therese Perino in the women's Championship Flight, and Jackie Mento topped Nicole Mento in the first flight.

At the Summit's Jack & Jill Couples Tournament, Rose Storm and Kyle Reese shot a 71 to win the gross division by four strokes over Dorothy Cavalet and Devin Lawhead.

Dale Perino and Therese Perino tied Christine Sears and Bob Whiteman at 68 to win the Net Division.

Jacob Martynuska, Mary Jo Shrift, Storm and Jacob Martynuska won skill prizes.

In other action, Braedon O'Donnell, Brodie O'Donnell, John Dziabo and Jacob Martynuska shot 52 to win the Penn Cambria Basketball Boosters Golf Outing Scramble.

Dan Russell, Joe Ozbold, Raj Kansal and Joe Seine were the runners-up with a 53.

Chad Watkins, Sean Davison, Rick Marshall, John Dziabo and Dale Perino each won skill prizes.

Mike Dunmyer, John Dziabo, Luke Repko and Randy Repko won the Myers Amusement Charity Outing on Monday with a 54 in the four-player scramble.

Second place went to the team of Ron Burgoon, Bernie Fontanella, Al Simanski and Ken Simanski with a 56. Shawn McMahon, Jacob Gregg, Tucker Hayes and Phil Beach won skill prizes.

Sylvan Hills

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Ken Stockley and Tim Williams had the low gross score of 41 during Sylvan Hills Golf Course Thursday league play.

The low net of 34 went to Craig Beck, Matt Mathias and Williams.

John Craig won a closest to the pin prize, and Pat Croft and Drew Nixon are the league leaders.

Hole-in-one

TYRONE -- Brandt Hite aced No. 10 at Sinking Valley Country Club with a gap wedge while playing with Colton Hite, Reese Hite and Adam Kanouff.

Double eagle

SALIX -- Lonnie Styles made a double eagle on No. 12 at the Windber Country Club during the Member-Guest Invitational.

He made it with a pitching wedge from 138 yards out on the 473-yard par 5.

The shot was witnessed by Robert Kelly, Rick Bartley and Darren Eades.
