Jesse Georgiana went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as Alexander Financial Group downed MH Electric Services, 12-5, in Altoona AAABA League action at Vets Field on Friday.

Matt Gutshall had two hits and two RBIs for Alexander, and Cooper Rother and Nick Negola each drove in two runs. Jacob Smith gave up no earned runs in four innings of work to earn the win.

Carter Savage, Connor Perry and Lawson Neiswender each had two hits for MH Electric.

Park Home Classic

Marana Electric, Sheetz of the Altoona Area Baseball Association and Sheetz of the Altoona Independent Youth Baseball League advanced in the single-elimination Park Home Altoona Baseball Classic at AABA’s John Kraft Field on Friday.

Marana Electric scored on a double steal to beat Thompson’s Pharmacy, 8-7. Liam Zorger delivered three hits for Marana, which will now play Fiore True Value at 6 p.m. Saturday. Cam Woodring, Logan Hileman and Easton Pincin each scored two runs for Marana.

Sheetz (AABA) erupted for eight runs in the fourth inning, and three Sheetz pitchers combined on a two-hitter in a 14-4 victory over Dean Patterson. Maddox Noel had three hits for Sheetz, and Kayden Scalice and Aiden Touchton each had two. Sheetz (AABA) now plays Cumming Motors of East End at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Sheetz (AIYBL) scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Locker Room, 7-6. Pitcher Maddox Lingenfelter struck out 15 batters, and Jonah Greenleaf and Bradley Ryan each had two hits for Sheetz, which faces Holsinger’s Plumbing and Heating at 8 p.m. Saturday.
