PITTSTON -- Hollidaysburg kept its hopes alive in the Little League Baseball Pennsylvania 12U State Tournament by overcoming an early 3-0 deficit and beating Milton, 9-5, on Wednesday.
Hollidaysburg is now 1-1 in the tournament and will face Newtown Edgmont or Back Mountain in an elimination game on Friday at 4 p.m. The winner of that game is scheduled to play again on Saturday.
Aiden Anderson led the Hollidaysburg offense with three hits and two RBIs, Blake Chamberlain delivered three hits, Jace Dodson drove in two runs, and CJ Burger and Heath Hanlon each added two hits.
Aiden Pavlik gave up two runs in 2ª innings of relief to earn the win.
Jordan Brown and Weston Sumner each had two hits -- including home runs for each of them -- for Milton.

Eldorado up 1-0
Eldorado Civics Association held a 6-2 lead heading to the bottom of the seventh inning and hung on for a 6-5 win over Old School Printing in the first game of a best-of-three Altoona Teener Major League semifinal series at Seitz Field.
Ari Holzer delivered three hits for Eldorado, and Lucas Farabaugh collected two hits and two RBIs. Alec Woodring had two hits and three RBIs for Old School, and Brendan Cobler, Thomas Kessinger and Gavin Mickey each added two hits.
Game 2 is scheduled for today at Seitz.

Sheetz rolls
Sheetz scored nine runs in the top of the first inning and cruised to a 15-0 five-inning victory over Cumming Motors in the first game of a best-of-three Altoona Teener Major League semifinal series at Seitz Field.
Game 2 is scheduled for today at Seitz.
Jerran Moyer went 3-for-3 with a home run, triple and double, and he drove in six runs for Sheetz. Brennan Buchanan delivered three hits, Chance Butler and Lucas Muccitelli each had two hits, and Jaxon Nordick drove in two runs. Shane Gority and Christian Moyer combined on a four-hit shutout.
