Pro Fab Solutions knocks off Sheetz, 5-3, in City League

ASHVILLE -- Pro Fab Solutions strengthened its second-place position in the Altoona Greater City Baseball League with a 5-3 victory over Sheetz on Tuesday.

Luke Mento delivered two hits and two RBIs for Pro Fab, now 13-4, and Ian Slate, Brandon Cook and Joe DeRubeis each added two hits. Mason Gearhart and Rich Ball combined on a five-hitter.

Aidan Steinbugl had two hits for Sheetz, now 11-6.

Lilly beats BCO

Ryan Ickes went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and also gave up just two runs in three innings of relief pitching to help Altoona Greater City League leader Lilly Conrad Chiropractic down Blair County Oil, 12-5, at Juniata Field.

Cody Gallaher had three hits, and Chad McCoy, Josh Bracken and Jim Dunlap each had two RBIs. Shane Suter earned the win.

Matt Duppstadt and Spencer Davis each had two hits for Blair County Oil.

Woodring leads OSP

Old School Printing's Alec Woodring and Brendan Cobler combined on a two-hit shutout to help lift Old School Printing over Bavarian Aid Society, 7-0, in Altoona Teener Major League action at Seitz Field.

Woodring struck out 10 in 5ª innings, and Cobler struck out three in 1• innings. Woodring also delivered two hits and two RBIs, and Ryan Daniels and Michael Miller each added two hits.

Sheetz moved into sole possession of first place in the Altoona Teener Major League with a 3-2 victory over Eldorado Civics Association at Seitz Field.

Chance Butler went the distance to earn the win for Sheetz, now 12-3, and Shane Gority collected two doubles. Ari Holzer struck out 16 for Eldorado Civics, and he also had two hits, along with Grant Walters.

Park Home Furniture and Greenwood Meadows advanced to the semifinals of the Park Home Altoona Baseball Classic with quarterfinals wins at AABA's John Kraft Field.

Park Home banged out 11 hits in edging Cumming Motors of East End, 7-5. Hank Clingerman, Joey Nedimyer, Declan Lutz, Chase Buchanan and LaRon Williams each had two hits for Park Home, and Bentley McGraw had three for Cumming.

Three-time tournament champ Greenwood Meadows moved on after an 11-6 victory over Sylvan Veterinary Hospital. Recording two hits for Meadows were Easton Klausman, Gabe Meese, Liam Mercer and Brody Page.

Park Home and Greenwood Meadows will meet in the semifinals on Thursday following the other semifinal game between Holsinger's Plumbing & Heating and L.S. Fiore.

Hollidaysburg wins

STATE COLLEGE -- The Hollidaysburg 11U team opened up play in the Pa. Little League Section 4 Tournament with a 7-0 win over State College at Montresor Field.

Liam Weikert delivered three hits and two RBIs while also earning the win on the mound with six strikeouts. Weikert, Gavyn McDade and Aiden Tomchick combined on a one-hit shutout for Hollidaysburg, which will play Hershey in the double-elimination tournament today.

Landon Pugh added two hits for Hollidaysburg.
