BCO gets team effort in City League baseball win

Blair County Oil erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the third inning en route to a 12-0, five-inning win over Honey Baked Ham at Juniata Field Thursday night in Greater City League baseball action.

Chase Shaffer came through with two hits and two runs batted in for BCO, while Brayden Harbaugh and Matt Duppsadt and delivered two RBIs apiece. Graham Spitz got the five-inning shutout, finishing with six strikeouts and no walks while giving up three hits.

LILLY — Ryan Ickes drove in five runs on a 4-for-4 night as Lilly Conrad Chiropractic downed Sinisi Detailing, 20-6, in four innings.

Alexander Yost added three hits, scored four times while driving home two runs, while teammates Jake Hillard had four RBIs and Brandon Ickes two hits. Jim Dunlap contributed two hits on two RBIs as Lilly improved to 14-2.

Sinisi Detailing got two hits and three RBIs from Ray Watt to go with three RBIs from Ricky Patterson, who also homered. Teammates Braedon Miller added two hits and scored two runs and Jake Schwader two hits.

Jerran Moyer delivered a single, double and homer while recording six RBIs for Sheetz, while Colin Ronan doubled, homered and collected two RBIs.

Aiden Sheehan finished with two hits and three runs batted in for Sheetz, while Chance Butler added two hits and earned the win on the mound.

Another victory

Seven runs in the sixth and seventh innings allowed Sheetz to gain control en route to a 16-10 win over Bavarian Aid Society in Altoona Teener League 15U play at Vets Field.

Chance Butler fronted Sheetz with three hits, while Shane Gority, Colin Ronan and Aiden Sheehan ended the night with two apiece.

David Ivory led Bavarian with two hits and four runs batted in, Kaiden Collins totaled three hits, James Morris and Christian Walk contributed two hits each, while Will Megahan knocked in two runs.
