HOLLIDAYSBURG — Pat Croft and Nick Matteson turned in the low gross scores (39) during Thursday Night Golf League action at the Sylvan Hills Golf Course.

Croft also had the low net score at 33. The league leaders currently are Croft and Drew Nixon.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Mike Luther (No. 2) and Ryan Kenawell (No. 4). Individual hole winners were Rich Metzger, Chuck Shields, Stan Wojcik and Mark Emery.

HUNTINGDON — The team of Ed Gargula and Geoff Clark went 4-1 during week 5 action of the Big Orange Golf League at the Huntingdon Country Club.

Taking second at 3-2 was the Phil Thompson-Larry Newton team, followed by Bob Lamey-Gerry Huggler (2-3) and Alan Herbster-Keith Black (1-4).

Clarke (39) was the low gross winner while Newton (31) was the low net winner.

The shot of the day was turned in by Clarke, whose 180-yard draw went around a tree and onto the green.

Mike Reese was the sub for Thompson.
