Wagaman wins big at Williams Grove

Area Racing

MECHANICSBURG — Troy Wagaman had the lead twice, and went on to score the $8,000 victory, his second of the year at the Williams Grove Speedway.

It was a non-stop All-Stars Circuit of Champions Sprints Lynn Paxton Classic at the track.

All-Star racer Cale Thomas and defending Paxton Classic winner Lance Dewease were slated for the front row of the 30-lap feature until Dewease came up with a right rear flat while pacing before the initial green flag. His misfortune slid original third starter Danny Dietrich to second for the start of the race.

Dietrich zoomed away when action began in what would be a nonstop affair to the finish. Wagaman was clearly outdistanced by Dietrich but slowly as the leader worked traffic, he was able to crawl back into contention.

With a little more than six laps to go, Dietrich was able to regain control over the field when he got under Wagaman. But a lap later, with Wagaman breathing down his neck, Dietrich missed his entry into the third turn and after driving in hard, he slid up off the bottom, allowing Wagaman again to take control.

It was a spot that Wagaman didn’t relinquish as the Hanover driver took the victory by 1.120 seconds. over Dietrich.

Selinsgrove

SELINSGROVE — Brock Zearfoss won the Kramer Cup race at the Selinsgrove Speedway.

It was held in remembrance of Kramer Williamson.

Zearfoss jumped to the lead and never looked back. He was followed closely by Chase Dietz, Troy Wagaman, Cameron Smith and Ryan Taylor when the checkers flew.

Hidden Valley

CLEARFIELD — Four of the five winners graced victory lane on Friday night for the first time this season at Hidden Valley Speedway, with Gary Little copping the Semi-Late Model main, Craig Casher returning to his winning ways by picking up the 2025 point title in the class, Benny Gordon winning in the Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, plus Ryan Shaffner winning the Pure Stock feature.

The only repeat winner on the night was Allen Robison who took his second straight four-cylinder feature.

Starting at $2.99/week.
