HOLLIDAYSBURG — The team of Sue Mielnik, Cathy Beam and Sandy Murphy finished with a 39 to win the Sylvan Hills Ladies Golf Association Scramble at the Sylvan Hills Golf Club.

Finishing second at 40 were Dayonne Beck, Lisa Michelone, Maddie Shea and Sue Green, who won on a cardoff with the team of Rosie McCoy, Cathy Knisely and Cindy Dillon.

HUNTINGDON — The team of Geoff Clarke and Ed Gargula went 2-0 during week 2 action of the Big Orange Golf League at Huntingdon Country Club.

The teams of Phil Thompson-Larry Newton, along with Alan Herbster and Keith Black, both went 1-1. Bob Lamey and Gerry Huggler were 0-2.

Lamey shot a 41 for the top low gross score, while Frank Ieraci, subbing for Clark, was the low net winner at 35.

Rick Tangeman made a hole in one on Friday on hole No. 8 at Huntingdon using a 9-iron. Witnessing the shot were Bob Lestochi and Randy Roland.
