LILLY — Shane Suter gave up four hits and struck out four in three innings to earn the win, and Preston Farabaugh threw three scoreless innings of relief as Lilly Conrad Chiropractic beat Blair County Oil, 5-2, in the Altoona Greater City Baseball League on Wednesday.

Ryan Ickes, CJ McCoy and Jon Rauch each collected two hits for Lilly, now 3-0, and Lucas McCoy drove in two runs. EJ Ulery doubled for BCO.

Walters shines

Grant Walters doubled in two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Eldorado Civics Association to a 4-3 walk-off victory over Old School Printing in Altoona Teener Major League action at Seitz Field.

Spencer Akins, who earned the win in relief of Ari Holzer, and Dom Pyo each had two hits for Eldorado. Alex Woodring drove in a run for Old School.

Altoona Moose wins

Zyler Herzler threw six shutout innings to help Altoona Moose Lodge 74 move to 2-0 in the Altoona Teener Major League with a 7-0 victory over Gingrich Insurance at Seitz Field.

Liam Swander finished the game with a scoreless seventh inning. Noah Bonsell delivered two hits and three RBIs for Moose, and Trenton Farabaugh added two hits.

Aiden Wilson, Jayden Savino and Tyler Wright each collected two hits for Gingrich Insurance.

PSU Altoona baseball wins region honors

Penn State Altoona baseball senior outfielder Brian Chelli and senior first baseman Jonathan Rauch were recognized for their performances this spring when a pair of organizations announced their All-Region awards.

Chelli and Rauch were both selected to the third team of D3baseball.com’s All-Region 7 team, with Rauch also earning third-team recognition on the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region VII squad.

Chelli and Rauch were both first-team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference picks this spring in their senior seasons.

Chelli, who led the team in stolen bases (31), played in 36 games, while Rauch, who led the team in home runs (13), played in 35 games.
