The Sitting Bulls Disabled Sled Hockey team will face off against local celebrities, educators and media personalities for a sled hockey exhibition game this Sunday at Galactic Ice in Altoona.
The puck will drop at 2 p.m. Doors open at noon. Admission is $5. Kids 12-and-under get in free.
Celebrities scheduled to play include Livia Chapman (7 Mountains Media), Tyann Bell (WJACTV), Rick Hull (Johnstown Tomahawks), Riley Holsinger (WTAJ), Derek Partsch (Cambria County War Memorial), Jack McCunne (WTAJ), Charlie " The Spaniard" Brenneman, Maria Hite (Beginnings, Inc.) Isaac Hank Hurst, Terry Hartman, Dr. Brown from Salix Bethel Church, Tiffany Grief and Riva Smith.
The funds raised at the event will be used for the Sitting Bulls team to purchase and maintain hockey equipment such as sleds, sticks, helmets and pads as well as to offset the costs incurred by the team such as ice time, tournament registration fees and camps.
Sled hockey provides a means for physically disabled children and adults to play competitive ice hockey. Players for the Bulls team represent Cambria, Somerset, Indiana, Blair and Centre counties.

Special games
PATTON -- Cambria Heights will host the first Heritage Olympic Games on Thursday, April 30.
All Heritage Conference students with special needs were asked to participate in the Games, which will include basketball hot shot, one-fourth mile walk/run, sprint, bowling (with and without ramp) and soccer shot.
The event is scheduled to run form 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
BU rugby sweeps
The Blair United girls rugby team recently opened its season with three wins in one day at a multi-team tournament held at Tiger Stadium in Hollidaysburg.
The locals defeated teams from Moon, Buffalo and Chambersburg.
In a 32-10 win over the team from Buffalo, Kate Steiner scored four tries with assists from Sophia Fleck and Lily Hite.
In a 52-0 victory over Moon, Steiner scored five tries while solo tries were turned in by Ava Echeverria, Jada Snyder and Alivia Barto.
The final game of the day was Blair United over Chambersburg, 17-12, with Steiner scoring two tries to go with one from Fleck, who also added several conversions in the victory.
This Sunday, Blair United girls will compete in a tournament in the Pittsburgh area.
Scramble winners
ORE HILL -- The team of Dave Snyder, Anthony Musselman, Stan Snyder and Bud Hetrick won the opening-day scramble at Iron Masters Country Club with a team score of 57.
Bryan James, Eric Glunt, Rich Eckard and Don McCready tied Ed Smith, Tyler Jarratt, Jess Reighard and Zac Burket two strokes back with a 59.
