Altoona’s Alexis Fraundorfer honored for academics at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN — Alexis Fraundorfer of the Lock Haven women’s swimming team was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Fraundorfer is an Altoona Area High School graduate. The team is selected by College Sports Communicators. They recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.
n Hollidaysburg Area High School graduate Abraham Manfred participated in the Sun Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 20, representing Savannah College of Art and Design. He ran a personal best of 16:55 in the 5,000-meter run, placing 12th.
n Jacob Harker, a member of the Waynesburg University men’s track and field team, made the Presidents Athletic Conference Honor Roll this week for his efforts as a thrower on the team. Harker is a Bishop Carroll graduate.
n Six student-athletes from the Penn State Altoona swimming program were recognized for their academic excellence by the College Sports Communicators for the NCAA Division III Academic All-District swim teams.They are Isabella Rhoades, Anna Heller, Claire Smith, Adam Dotts, Ben Dotts and Caden Traggiai. Rhoades is a Tyrone graduate.
Four Penn State Altoona winter sport student-athletes were also named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Donna Ledwin Winter All-Sportsmanship Team. They include Andrew Weaver, Richele Reyes, J.T. Harman and Halle Kuzminski. Weaver is a Tyrone graduate.
