Blair rugby team off to solid start

The Blair United boys rugby season is underway with the local team having competed in two tournaments the past two weekends.

This past Sunday, Blair United played Central Catholic in Pittsburgh with multiple tries scored by Caden Dodson and Vince Consiglio while Blake Kennedy, Mason Nagle, James Cowan, Braiden Touchton and Cayden Gragor adding solo scores for a 45-0 victory.

Blair United also took on Indiana, losing 10-7 with Madox Delozier getting a try and Chase Gallagher getting the conversion.

Joey Richardson was named Man of the Match in the first game with Delozier winning the honor against Indiana.

Two weeks ago, Blair United took on Chambersburg and came away with a 15-14 victory. Dodson and Consiglio picked up tries in the win.

Blair United will play at State College at 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Stadium.
