Saint Francis Red Flash women’s basketball team edged by point

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — For the second time this season, New Haven hit the deciding basket with less than a minute to go against Saint Francis with this one coming with nine seconds on the clock to earn a 57-56 win in women’s basketball action on Saturday.
Gemma Walker paced the Red Flash with 13 points. Aleah James added 11 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, and Shelby Ricks chipped in 10 points.

PSU Altoona rolls
The Penn State Altoona women’s basketball team recognized their seniors before Saturday’s 85-39 rout of Hilbert College in the Adler Arena.
Prior to the game, Penn State Altoona recognized seniors Jess Burns, Jaidyn McCracken (Bellwood-Antis High School graduate), Allyana Stephens, Haley Hicks and Avana Sayles.
For Penn State Altoona (12-6, 7-2 AMCC), McCracken and Stephens tied for the game-high in points, with each scoring 17. Sayles and Lanie Wilt (Altoona Area High School grad) each scored 15 points. Wilt had a game-high five steals along with four assists.
