Lady Red Devils volleyball earns 12th win of season

EBENSBURG -- Central Cambria cruised to a sweep over Bellwood-Antis by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-4 Tuesday night in high school girls volleyball play.

Two Lady Red Devils reached career milestones on the night as Allie Dziabo tallied six kills to hit the 500 mark for her career, while Katie Benko recorded five blocks to make it 100 for her career.

Mara Pablic totaled 19 service points and 11 digs for CC (12-2), while Riley Kauffman dished out 23 assists and Erica Brouse had nine kills.

Tigers come back

CRESSON -- Hollidaysburg dropped the opening set to Penn Cambria (25-20), but rallied to capture the next three (25-16, 25-21 and 25-19) to claim a 3-1 win.

Nora Stanek led the Lady Tigers with 10 service points, while Mackenzie McLanahan and Kynlee Budny delivered nine each.

Maddy Kittell fronted the Lady Panthers with 28 assists and 10 digs, Kate Eckenrode had 14 kills, Lily Gergely added 12 kills, while Makenna McCoy finished with six digs.

WILLIAMSBURG -- Williamsburg won the first set (25-18) but Juniata Valley came back to claim the next three (27-25, 26-24 and 25-21) to earn a 3-1 win.

Braelyn Hall contributed 18 digs and 10 service points for the Lady Green Hornets, Addie Borst totaled 13 kills and nine points, while Madyson Burdge dished out 24 assists and Paige Robinson added 11 kills.

Tyrone survives

BEDFORD -- Tyrone went the distance with Bedford before pulling out a 3-2 victory.

The Lady Eagles took the first two sets (25-22 and 25-22), dropped the next two (25-21 and 25-22) before winning the fifth set by a 15-8 final.

Rylan Crowell collected 18 kills, 15 service points and seven digs for Tyrone, while Elise Volders had a match-high 17 service points.

Sarilla Hensley came through with 12 points, seven kills and four blocks for the Eagles, while Sidney Goodwin had 21 assists, Abigail Anthony claimed 22 digs and Raleigh Oliver totaled 10 points.

Spikers fall

Altoona dropped a 3-0 decision to Cumberland Valley by scores of 26-24, 25-19 and 25-19 at the Altoona Fieldhouse.

Maraya Bittner collected 11 assists, nine service points and four digs for the Lady Lions, Annie Yost recorded 12 kills and five digs, while Marina Petucci had 22 digs and Sophia Knorr posted 10 digs.

Amber Shade led the Lady Dragons with 26 assists and nine service points, while Addie Imes totaled 13 kills and Lanah Goff contributed nine points.
