Bellwood-Antis girls volleyball goes the distance to take down Chestnut Ridge

BELLWOOD — Bellwood-Antis got a five-set victory over Chestnut Ridge, 24-26, 25-14, 25-23, 22-25, 15-7 in the Lady Blue Devils’ annual Pink-Out game Thursday night in girls high school volleyball action.
The Lady Blue Devils raised $3,050 dollars for Cathy Damiano, who is currently battling breast cancer.
Lauren Marinak had 17 service points and 26 assists to lead Bellwood, which improved to 2-11 on the season. Ava Worthing chipped in 15 service points and 10 kills. Giuliana Gummo and Alia Bennett tallied 12 and 11 digs, respectively.

Lady Tigers win
HOLLIDAYSBURG — Hollidaysburg picked up a sweep over Westmont Hilltop, 25-16, 25-13, and 25-18 to move to 13-1 on the season.
Rylee Harshaw led the Lady Tigers with 10 service points, while Delayni Baird put in eight more service points.

TYRONE — Tyrone won the first set, 25-23, over Somerset, but dropped the next three, 25-12, 25-19, 25-12.
Sarila Hensley paced Tyrone with seven service points, including three aces, and eight kills. Rylan Crowell posted three service points and nine kills. Abigail Anthonhy recorded 16 digs., while Raleigh Oliver and Elise Volders each recorded five service points.

Lady Vikes sweep
FLINTON — Glendale downed Williamsburg in straight sets, 25-16, 25-21, 25-10, to improve to 10-6 on the season.
Madi Skebeck led the way for the Lady Vikings with 15 service points, including three aces. Rachel McClellan registered 17 kills, while Hannah Matish had 18 assists.

CHAMBERSBURG — Chambersburg swept Altoona, 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.
The Lady Spikers (0-11) got eight kills and eight digs from Sage Bower to go with 13 digs from Marina Petucci, 10 assists from Selena Lopez-Oakes and 13 assists from Maraya Bittner.

Hall has big night
ALEXANDRIA – West Branch took care of Juniata Valley, 25-5, 25-16, 25-13.
Braelyn Hall made history for the Lady Hornets as she recorded 15 digs to put her over the 2,000 mark for her career.
Teammate Madyson Burdge had five assists to go with four kills from Adelie Borst.
Juniata Valley is 7-6 while West Branch improved to 11-0.

Calla Miko registered 14 kills for the lady Mustangs, while Kylie Hess tallied 19 kills. Addyson Jodon put in six service points, while Mya Selapack picked up 30 assists.

Carroll beats P-O
EBENSBURG — Bishop Carroll defeated Philipsburg-Osceola 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 behind 10 digs from Olivia Gregg, 38 assists from Lily Strait and 11 digs fro Kylee Newfield.

NBC defeated
WARFORDSBURG –Northern Bedford lost to Southern Fulton 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 24-26, 15-11 on the road.
Callie Miller had 21 assists and 21 service points for the Lady Panthers (4-12) while teammate Amberly Detterline added 17 kills. Grace Dainty chipped in with 18 digs.
