Brooklyn Galinis
Sophia O’Dea’s goal late in the second half off an assist from Ava Frye lifted Altoona to a 2-1 victory over Bedford in high school girls soccer at Mansion Park on Saturday.
It was the first loss in 12 games this season for Bedford, which got a goal from Halle Ford.
Ajaycia Alexander tied the game for the Lady Lions earlier in the second half as Altoona improved to 9-2-2.

PATTON — Brooklyn Galinis scored the 100th goal of her career, and Emma Gilbey recorded a shutout in goal as Cambria Heights defeated Tyrone, 3-0, on Saturday in girls soccer.
Mele Lavelua and Kinley Rogal also scored for the Lady Highlanders.

TYRONE — After assisting on Cameron Nelson’s game-tying goal, Tytus Novak scored the game-winning goal for the Tyrone boys in a 3-2 win over Cambria Heights on Saturday.
Grant Miller also scored for the Golden Eagles.
Ethan Gilbey and Nate Conaway had given the Highlanders a 2-1 lead after the first half.
