HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg Area High School girls tennis team, the two-time defending champion, will play for the District 6 Class 3A team championship again on Wednesday.
Hollidaysburg, the No. 2 seed, advanced to the finals with a 5-0 win over third-seeded Altoona on Monday.
The Lady Tigers (16-0) will play at top-seeded State College at 4 p.m. Wednesday for the district title.
Crosby Denis, Grace Muriceak and Emma Moritz swept through the singles matches, dropping just three games between them.
The doubles teams of Taylor Eardley and Brooklyn Klingner, and Olivia Panaro and Katherine Wang also prevailed in straight sets.

Tyrone moves on
TYRONE -- Tyrone edged Central, 3-2, in the District 6 Class 2A quarterfinals behind a singles win by Ezri Bumgarner and a sweep in the doubles matches.
Cassidy Fleck and Cassie Behrer won at No. 1 doubles, and Emily Christofer and Grace Zimmerman won at No. 2 doubles for the Lady Eagles despite dropping the second set by a 6-2 score.
Tyrone (8-7) will play top-seeded Central Cambria in the semifinals today. Central fell to 6-7.
Kate Dunn and Breslin Beech won singles matches for the Lady Dragons.

Hundley three-peats
SOMERSET -- Chestnut Ridge junior Haley Hundley won her third straight District 5-8 Class 2A girls tennis championship with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Bedford's Kasey Shuke on Monday.
Hundley defeated Eva Sanzi, 10-0, in the quarterfinals and Everett's Jade Colledge, 10-2, in the semifinals.
Shuke topped Chestnut Ridge's Gabby Barnes, 10-2, in the quarterfinals and Obama Academy's Reece Williams, 10-0, in the semifinals.
