Tytus Novak helping Tyrone Eagles soccer, football teams succeed

Athlete of the week achievement: Novak had a hat trick and an assist in Tyrone's 6-0 win over Richland and scored two goals in the Golden Eagles' 3-1 win over Forest Hills. He also was 4-for-4 on extra points in Tyrone's 28-6 win over Central in football and had a 48-yard punt downed at the 2-yard line.

Season update: Novak has scored five goals and has two assists for Tyrone's soccer team and is 12-for-13 on extra points and averages nearly 36 yards per punt for the football team.

Coach Alex Bartlett's quote: "Tytus has really come alive in the last week and has provided much needed offense for our team. However, Tytus has many characteristics that extend past his physical ability. He is a great leader for this team and a better kid than a soccer player. I can't wait to see where he goes this season."
