Central Cambria girls tennis knocks off Everett

EBENSBURG — The Central Cambria High School girls tennis team is 6-1 after beating Everett, 4-1, Wednesday.

The Lady Red Devils got singles wins from Lydia Paskowski, Taryn Ream and Madison Dietz. The team of Kat Kubat and Ireland DeBalli picked up a doubles victory, too.

SINGLES: 1, Paskowski, CC, def. College, 7-5, 2-6, 6-2; 2, Ream, CC, def. Kaufman, 6-1, 6-0; 3, Dietz, CC, def. Reaugh, 6-2, 6-0.

DOUBLES: 1, Kubat-DeBalli, CC, def. Leader-Jacobs, 6-1, 6-1; 2, Ritchey-Howsare, E, def. Smith-Bobby, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3.

Records: Everett (2-2), Central Cambria (6-1)

Tigers now 7-0

CLEARFIELD — Hollidaysburg improved to 7-0 on Tuesday with a 3-0 win over Clearfield in a matchup shortened because of weather.

The Lady Tigers got singles wins from Emma Moritz and Olivia Panaro. A doubles victory was earned by the team of Brooklyn Klingner and Taylor Eardley.

SINGLES: 1, Moritz, H, def. Johnston, 6-0, 6-0; 2, Panaro,H, def. Brown, 6-0, 6-0; 3 Stiffler, H, led Swales, 6-0, 2-1 (suspended).

DOUBLES: 1, Klingner-Eardley, H, def. Merling-Margarucci, 6-0, 6-0; 2, Zheng-Wang, H, led Elensky-Merrow, 6-0, 4-2 (suspended).

Records: Hollidaysburg (7-0), Clearfield (0-3).
