Altoona won the four-team Mountain Lion Tennis Invitational II at Mansion Park on Friday in girls high school action.
Altoona edged DuBois, 3-2, in the first round with Skylar Irwin and Ava Williams winning singles matches, and Addison Mitchell and Adalia Lopez-Oakes combining for a doubles win.
In the finals, Altoona nipped Indiana, 3-2, with Andie Adams, Irwin and Williams sweeping the singles match.
Central Cambria finished third, losing to Indiana, 3-2, in the first round and downing DuBois, 4-1, in the consolation. Lydia Paskowski won at No. 1 singles in both matches for the Lady Devils.

Lady Bears triumph
DuBOIS -- Great Commission's girls soccer team improved to 6-2 with a 2-1 win over DuBois Christian in high school play on Friday.
Alex Hall and Michelle McConnell scored for the Lady Bears, who were tied at 1-1 at halftime.

Lady Pirates fall
WILLIAMSBURG -- The Williamsburg girls volleyball team fell to 3-6 Thursday night, thanks to a 27-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-19, 15-10 loss to Tussey Mountain.
Maura Cresswell had 25 assists for the Lady Pirates,who also got 44 digs from Raina Alexander and 15 service points each from Katie Merritts, Alexander and Jana Somers.
