EBENSBURG — Central Cambria earned a 4-1 victory over Central as it went 2-1 in singles action and swept both doubles matches in girls high school tennis action Tuesday.

Lydia Paskowski and Taryn Ream were victorious in singles play for the Lady Red Devils (5-1), while the teams of Kat Kubat-Ireland DeBalli and Daisy Smith-Chloe Sandoval were doubles winners.

Breslyn Beech provided the lone win for the Lady Dragons in the No. 3 singles match.

Tyrone wins

SHANKSVILLE — Tyrone swept all seven matches against Shanksville-Stonycreek in a 7-0 victory.

Nicole Ramsey, Ezri Bumgarner, Jocelyn Diehl and Cassidy Fleck earned singles’ victories, while the doubles teams of Cassie Behrer-Addison Davis, Emily Christofer-Grace Zimmerman and Jenna Watson-Charlie Murphy had wins.

BG triumphs

The Bishop Guilfoyle boys golf team captured a victory by four strokes over Hollidaysburg on Tuesday at Sinking Valley Country Club.

The Marauders shot a 326, the Golden Tigers finished with 330, while Tyrone (345), Huntingdon (374) and Bellwood-Antis (378) rounded out the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference participants.

Mason Bender of Hollidaysburg took home medalist honors with a 78, while Aiden Sheehan and Carter Boland of BG tied for second with 80.

Kaleb and Blake Sweitzer finished with an 83 each to pace the Golden Eagles, while Reed Marshall’s 89 was tops for the Bearcats and Killian Worthing had a 90 for the Blue Devils.

AAHS falls

The Altoona girls golf team suffered a 127-151 setback to Westmont Hilltop on Tuesday at Park Hills Country Club.

Westmont’s Gabby Filia earned medalist honors with a score of 39, while Ellie Filer led the Lady Lions by shooting a 41.

WESTMONT HILLTOP (127): Filia 39, Wesner 42, Hill 46.

ALTOONA (151): Filer 41, Hallinan 54, Jackson 56.

Mustangs downed

PORTAGE — The Portage boys were outscored by a 211-282 score by Homer-Center in taking a loss.

Brayden Rado of the Wildcats was the medalist by scoring a 37, while Logan Gentile led the Mustangs with a 43.
