EBENSBURG -- Hollidaysburg's Crosby Denis won the Laurel Highlands Athletic Championship girls golf title on Thursday in high school play for the second time, two years after winning her first LHAC title.
Denis carded a 75 for the round, just one stroke better than Westmont Hilltop's Gabby Filia. Last year's LHAC winner -- Bishop Carroll's Sarah Miller -- came in fourth place with an 83.
Denis' teammate Maliah Malausky was third with a 78, three shots behind Denis. Westmont's Camille Wesner was fifth with an 84.
Other local finishers in the top-10 included Central Cambria's Bella Mesoras (sixth, 85), Hollidaysburg's Lucy Charles (eighth, 91) and Central Cambria's Maddie Dumm (10th, 94).

Bass tops for C-K
Garrett Bass shot a 46 to lead the Claysburg-Kimmel boys golf team in its 207-211 win over Southern Huntingdon in a match from Wednesday.
McConnellsburg beat Mount Union, C-K and Southern Huntingdon, and finished at 164 behind Deacon Garland's 38. The Bulldogs also lost to Mount Union.
