Hollidaysburg boys soccer opens season with win over Central

H.S. soccer

MARTINSBURG — Hollidaysburg opened its high school boys soccer season Tuesday with a 14-1 win over Central.

The Golden Tigers, up 6-0 at halftime, got two goals each from Caiden Galioto, Owen Naugle, Braelyn Ross, Devon Walters and Gannon Zonts. Teammate Alex Arbogast had a goal and three assists.

Central (0-1-1) got its lone goal from Jacob Heuston.

Bradley shines

RURAL VALLEY — Carter Bradley scored the last two goals for Cambria Heights in the final eight minutes of the game in a 4-3 win at West Shamokin.

The Highlanders (1-0-1) led 1-0 at halftime.

Tuskovich tough

TYRONE — Gavin Tuskovich broke a 1-1 tie with the winning goal on an assist from Tytus Novak as Tyrone edged Huntingdon, 2-1.

Karter Bokulich scored his first varsity goal minutes into the game to give Tyrone a 1-0 advantage, before Huntingdon’s David Phillips tied it early in the second half.
