EBENSBURG -- Hollidaysburg junior Crosby Denis shot a career-best score of 3-under par 68 to win the Ebensburg Country Club Invitational in high school golf on Monday.

"My goal for the season was to have some rounds under par, but mostly break into the 60s. After shooting 1-under and 2-under earlier in the summer it feels amazing to have a round like today," Denis said. "My goal originally for the day was to play a safe round in the 70s, but after shooting 4-under on the front with a 30-foot eagle putt on No. 8 it kind of clicked that this could be the special type of round I had been working so hard all summer for."

Gabby Filia of Westmont Hilltop was second with a 74, Bishop Carroll Catholic's Sarah Miller was third with an 81 and Central Cambria's Bella Mesoras and Altoona's Ellie Filer tied for fourth after shooting 85.
