Ott in the money at World Series of Poker event
Local digest
LAS VEGAS — Dillon Ott, the twin brother of Dan Ott, who finished as the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up and won $4.7 million, was still alive on the fourth day of the 2025 Main Event late Wednesday night.
Dillon Ott, an Altoona native, is guaranteed to cash in the event, surviving Wednesday’s money bubble by finishing in the top 1,461 places in a field that started with 9,735 players paying the $10,000 entry fee.
One of the eliminated players is Dan Ott, who did not cash in this year’s event.
Dillon Ott last cashed in the Main Event in 2021 when he placed 182nd in the field of 6,650 players and won $44,200.
He had 550,000 chips as of 11 p.m. on Wednesday and was guaranteed at least a prize of $22,500 and will finish no lower than 786th place. His chip stack was just above the mid-level of players remaining.
Chad Power — not to be confused with Eli Manning’s Chad Powers, a parody character Manning portrayed as a walk-on quarterback at Penn State — led the Main Event with $3,300,000 in chips.
