Tyrone Legion handed Metzler Brothers Transport its first loss to the year in a walkoff fashion with a 7-6 victory in nine innings at Vets Field Monday in Kelley Federation 19U baseball play.
Jon Stroup singled to right field in the bottom of the ninth to allow Reid Starr to score from second to give Tyrone the victory and move the two teams into a first-place tie atop the standings.
Kaiden Kustenborder went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for Tyrone Legion, Stroup finished with three RBIs, while Conner Zupon collected two hits and two runs batted in.
Troy McNichol had two hits and three RBIs to pace Metzler Brothers, while Kade Robison ended with three hits and Adam Loucks added two.

Conlon shines
NEW PARIS — Blake Conlon singled in the bottom of the 10th inning to score Garrett Weyandt for the walkoff win for Zeigler Chevrolet in a 9-8 score over Martin Oil.
Conlon, John Ansell, Thomas Weyant and Cole Knisely delivered two hits apiece for Zeigler, which plated eight runs in the bottom of the fifth, while Carter Ickes drove in two runs.
Lanson Sneath led Martin Oil with three hits and two RBIs, Maddox McCall contributed three hits, while Bentley Mellott and Elijah Moser registered two hits each.
