EDINBORO — Tyrone Area High School graduate AJ Schopp was recently announced as one of 11 inductees for the 2025 class of the Edinboro Athletic Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 26.
Schopp, a 2015 Edinboro University graduate, was a four-time NCAA qualifier, earning three All-American honors, and was a three-time Eastern Wrestling League champion. He ranks fifth in career wins at Edinboro with a record of 133-17.
In 2013 and 2014, Schopp placed fourth at the NCAA Championships. In 2015, he posted his best finish, winning seven straight matches after being upended in the first round to place third.
