JOHNSTOWN — Hollidaysburg captured its second straight Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference team title with a 4-1 victory over Westmont Hilltop on Friday afternoon in high school boys tennis action.

“For the second year in a row, we were able to finish out the season with a victory, and win the LHAC title for the second year in a row, “Hollidaysburg coach Brian Denis said. “Westmont played great today and gave us all we could handle.”

The Golden Tigers got singles wins from Garrett Bouchard, Feliz Xu and Michael Waibel, while the No. 2 doubles team of Alex Arbogast and Yvan Chen came through with a win as well.

Hollidaysburg wrapped up its season with a 16-3 record.

“I am proud of the way we regrouped from our loss against State College, and finished a great season on a high note,” Denis said. “We have six of our top 7 players back (next year), so we are excited to build on this year’s success.”

SINGLES: 1. Bouchard, H, def. Ragno, 6-2, 6-2; 2. Xu, H, def. Allen, 6-2, 6-3; 3. Waibel, H, def. Hoffman, 6-3, 7-5.

DOUBLES: 1. McCoy-Masterson, WH, def. Azad-Sidney, 7-6, 6-1; 2. Arbogast-Chen, H, def. Selders-Poad, 6-2, 6-1.
