No team scores were reported for Altoona’s tri-meet with Harrisburg and Mifflin County at Mansion Park on Tuesday in high school track and field competiton.

However, on the boys side for the Mountain Lions, MJ Harrington was a triple winner with wins in the shot put, discus and javelin, while Branson Adams was first in the high jump and long jump.

The Lady Lions got double wins from Kihlee Noel (shot put and discus) and Jill Long (long and triple jumps).

Sweep for Tigers

BELLWOOD — The Hollidaysburg teams swept its way past Bellwood-Antis and Tyrone in track and field.

The Golden Tigers swept by Tyrone, 81-69, and Bellwood-Antis, 109-41 as Isaac Yarnell won the 100 and 200 dashes.

The Golden Eagles beat the Blue Devils by a 111-39 score.

The Lady Tigers defeated Bellwood, 85-65 and Tyrone, 91-58, while the Lady Blue Devils got by the Lady Eagles by a 92-58 margin.

On the girls side, Emily Clapper captured the 400 dash and long jump for Hollidaysburg; Chloe Stoltzfus of Bellwood won the 100 and 300 hurdles, and Josie Dicken of Tyrone was first in the shot put and discus.

TYRONE — Tyrone got a doubles win from the team of Logan Harpster and Tyler Weston to account for its only win in a 4-1 loss to Everett on Tuesday in boys high school tennis play.

The loss dropped the Golden Eagles to 0-8 on the season.
