Keegan Hewitt, a member of the Hollidaysburg Junior High school wrestling team, recently won a state championship at 192 pounds competing at a state tournament held in Johnstown.

Hewitt attends Bishop Guilfoyle Academy but wrestles with Hollidaysburg through a co-op program because the Marauders do not have wrestling.

Hewitt finished the three-day tournament with a 5-0 record.

PIAA swimming

LEWISBURG — Tyrone junior Lucas Bonsell swam a time of 59.33 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly in the PIAA Class 2A Swimming Championships on Wednesday at Bucknell University’s Kinney Natatorium.

Bonsell finished in 31st place.

The Central Cambria boys 200 medley relay team of Ethan Haycisak, Tanner Braniff, Alex Burns and Giles Westrick swam a time of 1:51.42 and finished 31st.
