Curve to have presence on SportsNet Pittsburgh

The Altoona Curve announced Tuesday that 20 home games during the 2025 season will air on SportsNet Pittsburgh.
SportsNet Pittsburgh is the television and streaming home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins, in addition to other local professional and collegiate sporting events. The network is jointly owned by the Penguins and Pirates, and daily operations of the network are managed by NESN.
The first 2025 Curve game to air on SNP+ will take place on Wednesday, April 16, at 11 a.m. when the Curve host the Somerset Patriots. Exactly 12 games will air on SportsNet Pittsburgh and eight will air on SportsNet Pittsburgh+. The full schedule, which is subject to change, includes:

Bucs rally late for win
BRADENTON, Fla. — Javier Rivas smacked a two-out walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth Tuesday afternoon, leading the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in Grapefruit League action.
The Pirates (14-10-1) scored all three runs in the ninth for the win.Nick York and Bryce Johnson also drove in runs for the Pirates in the frame. Adam Frazier added two hits.
Starting pitcher Thomas Harrington allowed one run in 3ª innings of work. He struck out three and walked just one.
David Bednar struck out two in one inning with no walks, no hits and no runs. Wilkin Ramos worked the final two innings for the win. He struck out two and walked one without giving up a hit.
The Pirates play Tampa Bay this afternoon at 1:05. Andrew Heaney is expected to pitch for Pittsburgh.
Roster moves
The Pirates optioned catcher Jason Delay to Triple-A Indianapolis Tuesday. Also sent down were Darick Hall (INF), Alika Williams (INF), Nick Solak (INF-OF), Matt Gorski (OF), Abraham Gutierrez (C), Bryce Johnson (OF) and Yohan Ramirez (P).
There are now 42 players remaining in MLB camp.
Dodgers win opener
TOKYO — Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw five strong innings, Shohei Ohtani had two hits and scored twice and the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs 4-1 in Major League Baseball’s season opener at the Tokyo Dome.
Playing in front of their home country, Yamamoto and Cubs lefty Shota Imanaga both pitched well in the first all-Japanese starting pitching matchup on opening day in MLB history.
Imanaga threw four scoreless innings, but his bullpen failed to match his showing. Ohtani finished 2 of 5 at the plate, including a double in the ninth.
