Tigers take 2 from rival Lions

The Hollidaysburg swim teams completed a sweep of Altoona with the boys coming out on top by a 94-75 margin, and the girls claiming victory with a 110-60 win on Monday in high school swimming.

Andrew Shanafelt (100 butterfly and 100 freestyle) and Kaden Henderson (100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke) won twice for the Golden Tigers, while Trevor Wilson (50 and 500 freestyles) was the lone double winner for the Mountain Lions.

Addison Smith (50 and 200 freestyles) and Jackie Bevan (200 IM and 100 freestyle) claimed first place in two races each for the Lady Tigers.

CC earns sweep

EBENSBURG -- Both the Central Cambria boys and girls cruised to easy wins against Huntingdon as the boys won 122-44, while the girls ended with a 123-46 score.

Giles Westrick (50 freestyle and 100 butterfly) and Ethan Haycisak (200 and 500 freestyles) won twice for the Red Devils, while Jaycee Kleinstuber (50 freestyle and 100 butterfly), Kathleen Hodge (200 (IM and 100 freestyle) and Lindsey Hodge (200 and 500 freestyles) were all double winners for the Lady Red Devils.

Tyrone splits

TYRONE -- The Tyrone boys and girls teams split a meet with Penns Valley with the boys easily winning 118-30, while the girls dropped a 96-44 decision.

Patrick Van Kluenen (200 freestyle and 100 backstroke) was the lone double winner for the Golden Eagles, while the girls got one first place in the event from Sophia Cowher in the 500 freestyle.
