BEDFORD -- Six Mirror coverage area wrestlers are still in line for championships by advancing to semifinal matches at the Thomas Automotive Wrestling Classic.
Central's Carsen Mowery (114-pounds) and Kaden Horn (139), Northern Bedford's Aiden Replogle (114) and Wyatt Clouse (121), and Central Cambria's Burke Niebauer (127) and Jacob Wilson (145) all won quarterfinal matches to advance to today's semifinal round.
Mowery claimed a 10-4 decision over Everett's Tucker Smth, Replogle pinned Colby Kauffman of Chestnut Ridge in 1:26, Clouse earned a 4-1 win over Chris Imler of Newport, Niebauer had a 9-4 victory over Clearfield's Bryndan Chamberlain, Horn pinned Huntingdon's Christian Taylor in 2:23 and Wilson had a 15-3 major decision over Clearfield's Colton Bumbarger.
Five others lost in quarterfinal action but advanced into the round four of consolations: Bryer Mickel (127) of Central was pinned in 31 seconds by Burrell's Cameron Baker, Central's Cody Clapper (160) suffered a 23-5 technical fall loss to Rudy Gentile of Greenville, Central Cambria's Jeremy Hajzus (189) was pinned in 51 seconds by Maxim Johnson of Line Mountain, Northern Bedford's Nolin Snider (189) was pinned by Chestnut Ridge's Jayden Imler in 1:32, Blaine O'Farrell (215) of Central Cambria was pinned in 1:27 by Zane Hagans of Somerset, and Waldims Benitez of Central was pinned in 3:02 by Everett's Howard Brambley.
Other area wrestlers are still in contention in the fourth round of consolation as Central's Ty Mathews (107) and Joel Morris (133); Northern Bedford's Aidan Pittman (152), Claysburg-Kimmel's Nathan Cox (107), Rylan Quarello (121) and Ayden Soler (127).
Chestnut Ridge leads the team race with 110.5 points, while Burrell is in second with 100.5.
Glendale currently sits in 11th place in the team standings with 60.5 points, while Moon is out in front with 95.5 points - just ahead of second place Kiski at 93.5.
Scott still alive
MORRISDALE -- Kyle Scott of Tyrone is the lone area representative still alive for a championship at the Ultimate Warrior Tournament held at West Branch High School.
Scott, a 189-pounder, pinned Landon Young of Sullivan County in 52 seconds before landing the same fate to Max McConville of United in 1:30.
In the quarterfinals, he logged a 7-0 decision victory over Bryce Brungard of Central Mountain which sets up a semifinal showdown with Brady Brown of Derry today.
Other still wrestling in consolation matches after going 2-1 are: Connor Sidney of Hollidaysburg (107), Landon Krupka of Hollidayburg (121), Jacob Brua of Hollidaysburg (133), Logan Rumberger of Tyrone (133), Mason Schenk of Hollidaysburg (152), Marshall Eckenrode of Cambria Heights (160), Mitchell Baronner of Hollidaysburg (172), Kyler Suhoney of Tyrone (172), Scott Payne of Hollidaysburg (285) and Tommy Kitchen of Cambria Heights (285).
Hollidaysburg's Brayden Sidney (114) and Juniata Valley's Zach Dick went 1-1 and are still in consy action.
Logan Krupka of Hollidaysburg (127), Mason Van Allman of Tyrone (152), Ryan Galinis of Cambria Heights (215), Rocco Cacciotti of Hollidaysburg (215) and Mathew Dick of Juniata Valley (215) were eliminated after going 2-2.
Blake Kennedy of Hollidaysburg (160) and Logan Harpster of Juniata Valley (189) went 1-2 on the day.
Ben Davoli of Juniata Valley (121), Rhys Rawlings of Tyrone (139), Grady Rabenstein of Bellwood-Antis (139) and Julian McMahon of Juniata Valley (152) were knocked out after winning once and losing twice.
Levi Link of Cambria Heights (121), James Bialo of Hollidaysburg (145), Caden Walters of Juniata Valley (145), Andrew Detwiler of Tyrone (145), Domonic Pluebell of Bellwood-Antis (152), Aiden Schenk of Hollidaysburg (189), Hayden Leamer of Cambria Heights (189), Kayden Ansman of Tyrone (215) and Levi Firm of Cambria Heights (215) were all eliminated after going 0-2.

GROVE CITY -- The Glendale wrestling team has one wrestler alive in the quarterfinals and more in the consolations of the Grove City Fred Bell Tournament.
Zach Vereshack (160-pounds) is the lone Viking in contention for a title, while Tanner Ammerman (127), Ethan Gilbey (139), Connor O'Shall (215) and Brayden Keith (285) are in the third round of consolations.
