Lady Lion gymnastics team keeps perfect mark
The Altoona Area High School gymnastics team improved to 4-0 Thursday night, thanks to a 137.5-115.95 win over DuBois in scholastic play at the Fieldhouse.
The Lady Lions got a big night from Katie Bettwy, who won the all-around (34.575) and the balance beam (9.174). Linae Heaster captured the vault (8.6) while Taylor Knepper took the bars (9.15) and Maddy Pastore the floor (9.25).
“Outstanding team performance on the floor. All scores in the nines,” Altoona coach Mark Biselli said.

Mustangs fall
PORTAGE — The Portage rifle team fell to 4-3 with a 1,266-1,261 loss to DuBois.
The Mustangs were led by Jonah Irvin who finished with a 268.
DuBois (4-1) got a 271 from Brady Kiskiddon.
