Altoona wrestlers go 4-1 in Clearfield Duals
CLEARFIELD — Altoona went 4-1 at the Bison Duals on Saturday in high school wrestling with wins over Butler (42-31), Cranberry (47-24), Ridgway (66-0) and Saegertown (52-13) and a loss to Port Allegany (39-33).
Braiden Weaver went 5-0 at 121 pounds with four wins by fall and one major decision, and Luke Sipes went 5-0 at 160 pounds with three technical falls and two pins.

Wilson wins title
MERCER — The Central Cambria high school boys wrestling team competed at the Mercer VFW Tournament this past Friday and Saturday and finished in 10th place as a team and were led by champion Jake Wilson and runners-up Burke Niebauer and Jeremy Hajzus.
The junior high boys team placed sixth at the Penn Cambria Tournament this past Saturday with a number of athletes medaling, and the girls wrestling team competed at the Lady Mountie Tournament Saturday, with the junior high team placing second and being led by champions Makenna Smith and Kaydence Sinclair.
