Natalie Foster: Geneva College soccer

2 min read

Name: Natalie Foster

Hometown: Hollidaysburg

Sport: Soccer

Position: Goalkeeper

College choice: Geneva College

Other colleges considered: Messiah, Grove City

Why I picked Geneva College: "The college is beautiful and the girls on the team were very welcoming. The whole college really prioritizes faith."

Greatest high school achievement: Captain of the soccer team and leadership rooks in clubs (at school).

Coach Tristan delGiudice's quote: "Natalie was a dominant keeper that got better year after year. She was a four-year varsity player, and shared the starting keeper position her freshman year, before taking over full-time duties during her junior year. She was a key early substitution in her first district championship win during her freshman year, and started the district championship each of her last three years, winning twice by shutout, and losing once in PKs after conceding a single goal. She was a pleasure to coach, and she'll be hard to replace. I'm sure she'll be successful at the next level, and I look forward to keeping tabs on her progress."

How I got my start playing: "I first played in AYSO as a 3-year-old, then fell in love with the sport and have played ever since."

Favorite college growing up: Syracuse

Other interests: Music, hanging out with friends

What getting to play in college means to me: "Continuing my athletic career and playing for Jesus Christ."

Probable college major: Secondary education -- Mathematics

Parents: Chris and Janel Foster
