Lady Lions gymnastics team edges Waynesboro

Altoona barely beat out Waynesboro, 136.75-135.3, in its first home meet of the season on Wednesday night in high school gymnastics at the Altoona Fieldhouse.
Katie Bettwy was the winner on the floor for the Lady Lions, and was second in the all-around to Waynesboro’s Kayden Kettoman.
Linae Heaster delivered a first place finish in the vault for Altoona.
“Altoona had a slow start on bars and beam but fought back on vault and floor,” Altoona coach Mark Biseli said. “Katie Bettwy had a strong performance in all-around, and Linae Heaster took first on vault.”
