The Altoona Area High School girls soccer team fell to 11-5 Saturday afternoon, losing 2-1 to Selinsgrove at Mansion Park.
Altoona, which trailed 1-0 at halftime, got its only goal from Sophia O'Dea on an Alli Little assist.
The Seals improved to 13-4. Altoona keeper Haylee Rodriguez finished with 12 saves.

GC boys prevail
The Great Commission boys soccer team kept its record perfect at 11-0, thanks to a 5-0 win over Johnstown Christian on Saturday in its final game of the season.
Five different players -- Danny Kurty, Aaron Kurty, Landyn Summer, Wesley Hicks and Owen Huber -- all scored for the Bears, who led 1-0 at halftime.

Lady Spikers go 2-6
STATE COLLEGE -- The Altoona girls volleyball team went 2-6 on Saturday at the State College Invitational.
The Lady Spikers split with Penfield (NY) 17-25, 25-23 and Shaler (25-15, 17-25) and lost to Hempfield (25-13, 25-17) and Meadville (25-19, 25-22).
Ellaina Saylor led Altoona with 22 digs and 17 kills to go with 25 digs from Ava Steinbugl. Megan Kelly added 14 digs while Sami Page had contributed 31 assists and 20 digs. Other dig leaders included Karinna Wolfe (14) and Marina Petucci (12).

Heights girls win
PATTON -- Savannah Hoover, Megan Eckenrode and Margaret Elias finished 1-2-3 as the Cambria Heights girls cross country team downed Philipsburg-Osceola, 17-38, on Saturday.
Heights' Mason Kline won the boys race, but the P-O team prevailed, 26-31. Heights seniors Hoover, Olivia Farabaugh, Emily Lowe and Eli Hoover all ran their final home races.
