PORTAGE -- The Central Cambria High School boys and girls cross country teams swept their way to victories in a meet with Altoona, Ferndale, Forest Hills and Portage on Wednesday.
The CC boys got a first-place finish from Dom Kuntz with a time of 16:35, and Ethan Haycisak was second. Andrew Quinn was Altoona's highest finisher at sixth in 17:07.
The Red Devils defeated Portage (15-50), Altoona (18-37), Ferndale (15-50) and Forest Hills (18-43), while Altoona beat Portage (15-50), Ferndale (15-50) and Forest Hills (20-42), and Portage fell to Forest Hills (23-34).
The Lady Red Devils had Paige Alexander cross the line first in 19:13, while Altoona's Ashlyn Noce was second in 19:20.
CC girls earned wins over Portage (15-50), Forest Hills (19-44) and Altoona (23-34), while Altoona claimed a victory over Portage (15-47) but lost to Forest Hills (20-35). The Lady Mustangs dropped a 15-45 decision to the Lady Rangers.

Tigers top Central
HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Hollidaysburg swept Central as the boys won 15-50, while the girls won 20-43.
The Golden Tigers' Yvan Chen earned his first win of the season by finishing with a time of 17:35 which was 10 seconds ahead of teammate Sebastian Diaz.
The Lady Dragons got a first-place win from Lanee Berkhimer in 19:50, and was followed by the Lady Tigers' Rylan Carney.

B-A defeats Tyrone
BELLWOOD -- Bellwood-Antis swept Tyrone with the boys being a 29-29 tie, but the Blue Devils won because of the sixth-place finisher. The Lady Blue Devils won 15-48.
Thomas Sutt of the Golden Eagles won the boys race in 19:00, which was 27 seconds ahead of teammate Alex Brumbaugh. B-A's Cameron Gallagher was in third place in 19:52.
Julie Kraft of the Lady Devils came out in front in 22:05 with teammate Blake Pennington second.

BC downs PC
CRESSON -- Bishop Carroll swept its way past Penn Cambria as the boys captured a 20-39 win, while the girls were victorious by a 15-40 margin.
The Huskies' Joey Phillips took the boys race in 18:30, which was one second ahead of teammate Brode Pablic. The Panthers' Ryan Giraud was third in 19:16.
Ava Pablic of the Lady Huskies claimed the girls competition in 21:07, which was ahead of teammate Avery Myers.
