Black nets two goals to spark Altoona’s victory

The Altoona Area High School boys soccer team defeated State College, 3-1, on Monday night at Mansion Park Stadium.

Jace Black scored two goals for the Mountain Lions (12-1), and Collin Etters also scored. Keeper Luke Mitchell made nine saves.

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Hollidaysburg toppled Bishop Guilfoyle, 2-0, on the Tigers' senior night.

Hollidaysburg seniors Micah Helsel, Sebastian Dias, Yven Chen, Logan Pope, Lucas Rivera, Daniel Theys, Levi Sensenig and Ethan Willis were honored.

Helsel and Micah Blake scored the Tigers' goals, and keeper Liam Jancula earned the shutout with one save.
