WHITE OAK -- The Central Cambria High School girls finished second in Class 2A out of 21 teams in the Red, White & Blue Cross Country Classic hosted by Baldwin at White Oak Park on Saturday.
Paige Alexander led the Lady Devils with a seventh-place finish out of 169 runners in 20 minutes, 0.6 seconds.
The Altoona girls finished fifth in Class 3A out of 33 teams with Ashlyn Noce placing 18th in 19:37.6 in a field of 247 runners.
The Central Cambria boys were fifth out of 23 teams in 2A with Dom Kuntz 21st in 17:06.2 out of 179 runners.
The Altoona boys were 11th out of 37 in 3A. Dean Sunderland was 48th overall out of 277 finishers in 17:15.9.

HUNTINGDON -- The Juniata College women's volleyball team broke the NCAA Division III record for consecutive wins in women's volleyball on Saturday with a decisive victory over Swarthmore College.
The back-to-back championship team has won 67 straight matches, besting previous record holder Johns Hopkins University.
The Lady Eagles, coached by Heather Pavlik, play again this Friday at the Hope Invitational, which will also run on Saturday against Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Otterbein, Muskingum and Franklin & Marshall as well as the host team Hope College.
