Foursome wins Sheetz tournament

The 29th annual Becky Sheetz Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Park Hills Golf Club recently.
Finishing first in the four-person scramble was the team of Keith Danner, Ron Hinish, Garth Honsaker and Ed Smith with a score of 53. In second place, with a score of 54, was the team of Brent Hoover, Brian Weimer, Carson Baker and Scott Knote.
The third-place team was made up of Tim Balconi, Dan Wojcik, Jake Corso and Adam Worthing with a score of 56.
Sinking Valley
TYRONE — The team of Don Filby and Ray Kennedy won the member-guest tournament at Sinking Valley Country Club with a score of 70 and a first-place gross score of 59.4.
John Huber and Dan Casillo shot a 77 but had a 48.4 to win first-place net.
Brent Hughes and Brad Wierich carded a 71 (52.4) to finish second overall and second gross.
Derek McAlkich, Gary Claar, Ron Shaffer, Tony Isenberg and Filby won skill prizes.
Hole-in-one
CRESSON — Alexandria native Scott Eichelberger aced the par 3 fourth hole at the Summit Country Club.
Eichelberger used a pitching wedge on the 110-yard hole. The shot was witnessed by Chris Spacht, Dennis Pennabaker and Tracey Smith.
