INDIANA -- The Altoona boys soccer team opened the season on Friday afternoon at the Indiana Tournament, beating DuBois 1-0, in high school play.
The Mountain Lions got their only goal in the second half on a Jace Black score at the 68:33 mark. Troy Peterman got the assist. Keeper Luke Mitchell got the shutout.

Nicodemus shines for BCC
MOUNT CARMEL -- Seth Nicodemus scored six goals to lead the Blair County Christian boys to a 10-3 win over Mount Carmel Christian in its season opener.
Titus Teis finished with 12 saves for BCC, which led 6-2 at halftime.
