Tigers earn LHAC crown

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg Area High School boys tennis team won all five matches in earning a 5-0 victory over Bedford Monday to claim the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference team tennis title
Ben Johnson, Garrett Bouchard and Michael Waibel claimed singles wins, while the doubles team of Felix Xu-Yvan Chen and Alex Arbogast-Jacob Sidney were victorious as the Golden Tigers improved to 19-1 on the season. Bedford fell to 15-3.
"It was a great way to close out an outstanding season," Hollidaysburg coach Brian Denis said. "The schedule worked out where we played this match after districts, so it allowed us to finish with a win, which very rarely happens in sports. We have a great nucleus coming back, so hopefully the boys will work really hard in the offseason to make next year an even better year."
