Red Devils mercy-rule Rangers

SIDMAN -- In high school baseball play Tuesday, Forest Hills entered Tuesday ranked No. 1 in the District 6 Class 3A rankings, but Central Cambria beat the Rangers by mercy rule, 13-3, with the help of a home run by Grady Snyder and three RBIs from Jake Russell.

Alex Wingard pitched five solid innings for the win, and Connor Serenko, Joe Iacono and Logan Black each had three hits for the Red Devils.

Guilfoyle prevails

HUNTINGDON -- Kaden Wyandt and Hamilton Gates each drove in two runs to lead Bishop Guilfoyle to a 4-1 win over Huntingdon in a game from Monday.

Ryan Hagg and Jesse Georgiana each had two hits for the Marauders, who led 3-0 after one inning of play.

Kade Sell worked four-plus innings in relief to get the win. He struck out seven, gave up two hits and walked no one in helping the Marauders improve to 5-8.
